Locally Sourced Love
"What was once imagined is now proved."
-William Blake
After taking a two month hiatus from this forum, I attempt to put into words what my heart has felt for the time I have been silent and preview the sweet(and savory) things we have in store...
Meriwether Cafe and Bikes is real! It does exist outside of the realm of imagination and as one of its most steadfast adherent, it feels as if the path we walk will be a long one. The response from all of you has been overwhelming and we are encouraged daily by your kind words and your patronage. Thanks to you all for that. We could not have asked for a more loyal and kind clientele and having seen and spoken to many repeat guests, I am further convinced that we are on to something with our concept, our menu and its execution. We will continue to provide a great atmosphere, friendly service and locally sourced simple scratch favorites as you've grown accustom to, but we do not plan to rest on our past successes...
Excitement for the future abounds as we enter our second month- we have launched our pastry program with the inspirational and inexplicably talented duo of Whitney and Rebekah. For those of you that have been to Meriwether regularly the Hunny Sunny Cookie and Coconut Macaroons are familiar favorites, but they are no longer the only sweets on the shelf. We will begin featuring everything pastry from hand pies to tartlets to muffins and more all made with the same quality ingredients and locally sourced love that has informed the entirety of this endeavor since its inception.
Let us know on Facebook or Instagram what you would like to see or what you've already enjoyed, and certainly say hello when you're in and introduce yourself! We count you all as part of our journey and feel privileged to be given the chance to satisfy your sweet tooth!
